If an artwork is soulless, it is meaningless. 

As a Visual Communication Design student, I created “That Summer”. It is a three-layer paper sculpture presented as a specimen to commemorate two events which stirred up my feelings, the COVID-19 and protests in Hong Kong, my hometown. The desire for freedom of a healthy community and control motivates me to spread my insights towards daily events happened around us. The concept of specimen is to commemorate us to have a little freedom now, in 2020 as none of us could foresee what will happen in the future. Thanks to Copic markers and paper, also the acrylic specimen box enable me to create my work.
